Taking a deep dive into the fall of Lambda and the part where Austen started deleting students complaints is quite similar to an edutech academy here in the country.
And if they're not careful, in due season they might also hit rocks just like Lambda.
I think we've seen how difficult edtech is. But beyond that, the thing about a talent pipeline is that you must have the companies to absorb them to do meaningful and well paid work
I think I have finally found my home, I'm here to stay fr.
I loved the gambling analogy used to mirror the Esop situation in Nigerian startups because that's exactly how I feel too. It's just too unpredictable.
Besides paystack I don't know of any other Nigerian startup where employees benefited from it so why play the game?
Other than Paystack, which other startup exits have created wealth for employees via ESOPs?
I daresay very few, maybe even none, and this is related to the fact that African and Nigerian startup exits are very few, and that should worry us all. Because if there are no exits, what are we really building for?
Happy to read from you again. I enjoyed this. Insightful as always.
Thank you!
